Essay Categories

Each essay submitted to the journal and that we publish will be “tagged” with at least one appropriate essay category. This helps our readers understand the nature of the essay content at a glance, and makes exploring essays easier by topic.

Definitions for our essay categories are below. If you feel your essay submission doesn’t quite fit any of these — don’t worry. We’ll find the right place for it, or make an entirely new category as themes emerge from all the submissions we receive.
